Definition
Bookmarking is a feature known in many browsers (the same thing exists in Firefox and Safari; known as favorite in Internet Explorer) and reviewing/researching tools.
Overview
Features
Zekr has bookmarking support from 0.5.0 release. This includes:
- CRUD (create, remove, update, delete) for bookmark items, arbitrarily organized in a directory-like structure.
- CRUD for bookmark sets: a bookmark set is a set of related bookmark items.
- Import/Export: one may import and/or export Zekr bookmark sets.
- Multiple bookmark sets: users may have more than one bookmark sets. They can switch between different bookmark sets.
Basic search
In addition to bookmark management, one can also search bookmark references for a special aya (accessible through Bookmarks > Show References).
Known issues
- Bookmarks drag and drop (DnD) doesn't work on Linux (GTK), although previously with Zekr 0.5.0 it was functional.
