Ther are two quran-simple.txt and quran-uthmani.txt in Zekr provided by Tanzil Project. Both these files are in UTF-8 encoding. The simple one (quran-simple.txt) has Cp1256 characters plus small superscript alef and waqf signs. (for example for الرحمٰن). Detailed Uthmani text (Uthmani-compliant: uthmani-text.txt) has more diacritics. It has almost all diacritics and even signs (e.g. for waqf) available in Uthman Taha mushaf. This text is best rendered with me_quran font.
