Overview
Version 0.6.0 is a major step forward comparing with older versions of Zekr, because it now utilizes the powerful Lucene full-text search library. It supports a bunch of different queries on Quran text, still one can do basic search on Both Quran text and translation.
A list of major changes over 0.5.0 final is listed below, and conventionally a detailed description of changes over 0.6.0beta2 is followed.
Major changes over 0.5.0
- Advanced search using Lucene full-text search library (Boolean operators, groups, wild cards, scopes, fuzzy search, ...).
- Uthman Taha theme featuring excellent me_quran font designed by Meor Ridzuan.
- Two versions of Quran text: detailed and simplified.
- HTML export for bookmark sets. A new button is added to "Manage Bookmark Sets" form to export any bookmark set into a single HTML file
- An asymmetric character matching for basic search in order to match Hamza characters better.
- Basic command lines support: -index, -clean, -workspace.
- Two new language packs: Pashto (thanks to Qudratullah) and Bosnian (thanks to Nedim Hadzic and Alma Aganovic).

- Windows: javaw.exe in run.bat changed to java.exe so that user can see commandline options in the console.
- New language pack: Bosnian (Nedim Hadžić).
- Country flag icons changed to famfamfam PNG icons.
- All needed licenses placed under [zekr]/doc directory.
- A new readme.txt under [zekr] directory.
Bugs fixed
- Help comman line message correction: -clean: ... above options separated with comma (not space!).
- A critical bug with asymmetric basic search character matching fixed.
- Linux font name problem in search results with Uthman Taha fixed.
- Mac run script fixed to accept command lines.
- Uthman Taha search font fixed on Mozilla/Safari (changes applied to CSS files to affect only IE).
