Zekr with XULRunner

By default Zekr uses Internet Explorer on Windows, Mozilla (or Firefox) on Linux and Safari on Mac platforms. However from Zekr 0.6.5, it can also be configured to work along with with XULRunner on all the three supported platforms.

In order to install XULRunner, download the latest package for your platform from Mozilla XULRunner downloads. Follow instructions to install or uninstall old versions of XULRunner.

Now that you have XULRunner, you should edit config.properties (first make sure that Zekr is not running):

  • Windows users: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\.zekr\config\config.properties
  • Linux users:~/.zekr/config/config.properties

and set options.browser.useMozilla to true:

options.browser.useMozilla = true

That's all. Try to launch Zekr.
